Whats is wrong with my grass?

Know your lawn

It is a good thing to know your lawn. If we installed your new lawn it should look like the lawn above. This picture was taken within a month of being installed and was another example of a great job and happy customer.

But we want to show some bad lawns and causes for the bad lawn so that our future customers may understand what is creating their grass related issues. Please see the pictures of various lawns that we have encounterd below.

Lawn issues

A lawn that has been installed but over-watered and not enough light. This causes the sod to die back and be blotchy.

New lawn watered well, getting over-grown and needing a cut. If left it will mature and the leaf blades will become long and wiry and start seeding.

Fresh sod installed in need of watering. If left it will die.

This lawn died due to to much standing water...poor drainage.

Spots...caused by dog urine. New sod is especially susceptable to spotting and should be rinsed off immediately.

Dead sod due to lack of watering. New sod needs to be watered immediately, soaked through, and repeated for first 3 days minimum. If left the grass will not return but WEEDS will use this as a perfect breeding ground.
